Tips For Dry Skin

It can be a real struggle to wear makeup with dry skin, especially with the onset of cold weather. To determine if you have dry skin, be on the lookout for flaky patches, tightness, fine lines, and red/sore patches of skin. Managing dry skin can be tough, but with my easy tips, I aim to help improve your skin!

To kickstart your skincare routine, try using a gentle exfoliating scrub to slough off dead skin cells and create a smooth canvas for makeup application. Just be sure not to overdo it - limit exfoliation to no more than three times a week to avoid damaging your skin. Keeping your skin hydrated is essential, so invest in a quality moisturizer and keep your skin nourished daily. Combat dryness caused by makeup by applying moisturizer before applying any products, ensuring your skin stays fresh and hydrated throughout the day. For a flawless makeup look that lasts, don't forget to apply a layer of primer before your makeup.

One crucial piece of advice is to avoid irritating your skin. Excessive blending and rubbing can not only cause irritation and soreness but can also result in dry patches on your face. This can cause skin flakes to sit on the surface or even come off completely. As a result, your makeup may appear cakey and have areas where it looks like makeup is missing.

It's common knowledge that applying too much finishing powder can leave your face looking fuzzy and cakey, regardless of your skin type. With Mineral makeup, remember to apply thin layers for a smoother finish. Powder isn't the only option for setting your makeup! If you have dry skin, consider using a hydrating setting spray instead of just powder. This will help your makeup last longer and rejuvenate your skin.

I trust that these straightforward tips and tricks will assist you in combating dry skin!
