How To Clean NCinc’s Kabuki Brush
If you have been reading our previous blogs, you are probably already aware that the most effective tool for applying Mineral Makeup is the Kabuki Brush. This dense brush is perfect for blending out loose powder and achieving a flawless finish. It is crucial to regularly clean your kabuki brush as the dense bristles can easily collect powder and harbour bacteria over time. Applying makeup with a dirty brush on a clean face can lead to breakouts, so it is important to keep your brush clean.
Cleaning your Kabuki Brush is simple and I will walk you through the process in three easy steps.
Step 1 - Before applying your choice of brush cleanser, make sure to wet your kabuki brush. Turn on the hot tap at the sink, but opt for warm water to protect the bristles and your hand from burning. Hold the Kabuki Brush under the running water until all the bristles are completely wet.
Step 2 - It's time to clean your brush. I suggest an oil-based cleanser for effectively removing makeup. But feel free to use soap or shampoo if you prefer. Apply the cleanser to the brush and gently massage it into the bristles, ensuring a thorough clean. Remember to be gentle with your brush to prevent damage.
Step 3 - Thoroughly rinse your Kabuki brush to remove all soap and residual product. The water should run clear when the brush is clean. Gently squeeze out excess water, then either pat the brush dry with a towel or leave it upside down to air dry.
